About Us

Flush with enthusiasm and vigor of youth, and unbeknown to us, our fates were drawn together professionally— and yes, it was in a barn about a horse!

Funny thing is, we didn’t agree at first on what to do with that old crippled school horse. We laugh still about it now after all these years, and reminisce on the scores of horses that have passed our way.

Not too long after that first encounter, we knew our destiny and love linked us together. In 1985 we embarked on a joint venture in Warrenville, New Jersey, where we rented a standardbred farm. In that time, we foaled out thoroughbred and standardbred mares and halter broke the colts to prepare them for training and the track. We also collected and stood stallions there. As the tax laws changed for the racehorse industry, we transitioned our business model and had layups and retired horses.

In 1994 we moved here to Lexington Virginia to continue our professions and have still kept into the keeping, care, and love of horses.
